Welcome!

Thanks for visiting this page! My name is Francesca and I'm trying to put this group together. I learned to knit from my mom last winter, and I've made a couple of scarves, a cowl, and a hat. I find that knitting relaxes me and I get a real satisfaction from seeing the finished project. Recently I had the idea to start a group that knits for charity. The purpose of this group will be to provide warm scarves, hats, and possibly other knit items to the homeless in Arlington County and maybe beyond, to teach people how to knit, and to get together with friends and make new friends while sharing this fun and creative hobby. We don't have a fixed meeting place or time yet, but I'm working on that and will post info as it becomes available.
